Atypical Working Hours

What is this scheme?

Introduced during the 2022 budget, the Atypical Working Hours scheme applies to employees working in the following sectors:

 

    • Accommodation and food services
    • Administrative and support services
    • Wholesale and retail trade
    • Transport and storage
    • Manufacturing

Who is eligible?

Both full-time and part-time employees working in the private sector (including those who are self-employed) who work night shifts after 6pm, in shifts, or on weekends and their basic salary does not exceed €20,000 per annum.

 

The employees must have been employed with the same employer for at least 6 months during the calendar year 2021.

 

People who satisfy these conditions are eligible for an In-Work Benefit of €150 per year.

 

Jobsplus have issued a letter to employers to facilitate the data collection for submission in order to issue these grants to eligible employees.
